Quick & Easy Set Up
Please read this section before installing the device and turning on.
Before installing the device and turning on, SD Card needs to be set-up.
Software
1. Insert SD memory card into the computer
1. Install latest Janus software(CD) in the computer
2. Open Viewer software
3. Click “Set-up” button
4. Set up “System” “Event” “User settings”
5. Click “OK” it will save into “E” or “other drive name” drive which is SD Card
6. Remove SD card from the computer
7. Install SD card into the Janus devise
8. Install GPS bracket into the windshield
9. Power up the devise “warning” do not disturb the power during 1st 5 minutes of powering up.
Hardware
1. When you first power up the devise following steps will happen
a. Power/GPS/Recording lights will come on for few seconds
b. GPS and Recording light will turn off for couple seconds
c. Recording light will turn on and GPS light will blink (detecting GPS)
d. Once GPS is detected, then GPS light will stay on
(depends on the location and the weather, it could take few minutes
for GPS to detect)
