Car Camera Recorder: Installation for Janus V2
1. Insert SD memory card into the JANUS SD card slot.
For external GPS monitor, connect the JANUS ‘Video OUT’ component to
the display on LCD ‘video INPUT’ component.
2. Adjust the camera angle before placing the device on the glass.
3. Insert the bracket from the bottom and slide it up until you hear a click.
4. Connect the JANUS V2 power cable(DC12~24V) to the cigar lighter
receptacle.
5. It takes about 30 seconds for the device to boot up. Once the 3 LED’s
on the device lights up and you hear a short beep, the device is ready
to record.
• When recording and GPS is in use and the 3 LED’s will always be lit.
6. Refer to the following images for correct placement locations.
Clean the windshield prior to placing the device.
• Recommended location – Right side of the rear view mirror.
7. The best spot of the unit is beside the rear view mirror. You will receive
better reception, if the GPS receiver is fully exposed through the windshield.
8. Connect external emergency button to the device and place the external
emergency button near the driver’s seat.
